Help with parallels

Hi there,

Hoping for some help from someone with a bit of technical expertise. I am running Windows 8 via parallels on an imac. I have just bought and installed Komodo 8 - so far so good!

I am facing a couple of problems though:

1) The node speed varies greatly from position to position. It usually starts off fairly high, then drops rapidly after a couple of positions. Is this something to do with the amount of RAM I have alocated in the paralels configure options, compared to the amount I have set for Komodo to use - what is the ideal?

2) When using the parallels configure options - if I set CPU's to more than 1, Komodo engine won't load - is this because I dont have the multiprocessor version?
