It looks like the si4 file is the index and most of the header information. The games, comments and variations are stored in the sg4 file.

Theoretically the data could be retrieved though you would have to figure out who played each game.
It might be worthwhile to try and recover your file, though I guess that depends on how much you need the data. I assume you either did a permanent delete and/or emptied your trash? You can sometimes recover files with some utilities but I don't have any experience with Mac recovery and no recent recovery with any utilities in general.
Also, any chance you had backups running and can recover the file that way?
I have for about a year now kept all of my games on Skid vs. Mac.
For those that don't know, when you create a database, three files are created: [file].sn4, [file].sg4, and [file].si4.
I accidentally deleted my .si4 file. Is there any way to recover my games? Now when I want to access the files, it tell me "Error opening game file" and I can't open my database. I'm very worried. Can somebody please recommend something?
