I am a new player to chess.com, but my daily score is shooting up to the 1500s,1600s, and beyond, soon will I become a CM? I am currently playing against a Chess Master. If I beat him, will I become a CM? Do I need premium? Do I need to pay? And does anyone want to play with me? Preferably someone rated 1500-2000! Actually I will play with anyone! Just create a 3-day/move game, and maybe I will be able to join! Chess 960 is welcome as well! I can play as white or black.

Hey, are there three different scores? Blitz, speed, and daily? I wanna know that to!

One more thing! I want to play chess with my friend, at my house. How do I set it up so that he can be my opponent on my device without needing a chess.com app or whatever? You know, two playing on one device.

You've only completed one daily game at the time of this posting.

No.

No, CM is a FIDE title.

No, you need to play FIDE tournaments.

No, you need to play OTB, not online.

No, there are more.

No, "speed" isn't a rating category.

No, because rating manipulation is against the rules.

Hey, you are wrong-I found a way for two people to play on the same device. Also, I have won more than 1 game! Although I have lost more (blitz) 😄😄.  What is OTB, what does FIDE stand for? I am chess nooby, thanks for answering my questions!

OTB is an acronym for Over The Board. It means real life, face to face chess as opposed to internet chess.

FIDE is an acronym for Federation Internationale des Echecs which is French for the international chess federation. They're the organizational body that does things like award titles and finds sponsors for the world championship match.

The members of FIDE are national federations. On this website you might see USCF. That's just the United States affiliate of FIDE.
