hey there, i am new to chess, any tips on how to get better?

I believe there's an option in the settings to hide your opponent's name and Elo during the game. Elo anxiety is very real, and that's what seems to be bringing you down.

thanks for the tip, dude (:
recently, i was on a pretty big losing streak and went from around 1000 elo to 900 in just a couple of days. the weird thing is that when i play outside my account with no elo at risk, i can beat a 1600 with ease, but the moment it even begins to involve my elo, i can barely beat an 800 elo player. if anyone has advice, i would be happy to listen
