Hi, I'm new. I decided to join because I found agadmator on YouTube and suddenly became so much better at chess. I was grinding for years without much improvement. I don't know how the world of chess goes so I hope there's no business conflict with mentioning him on this site. I have a dicey history with forums so I may or may not post very often.
I know it's against my phone so the opponent isn't all that sophisticated, but I still don't think it's wrong to really love how this turned game turned out. I had to start over at move 10 or 11 because I tried to protect my pawn structure and that turned into disaster. I think the rest is legit (I might've looked at a move I'm not remembering) how the game went down and everything worked how I thought it would except for one pleasant and very useful surprise. I think it turned out wonderful and is really fun to watch. Maybe lovely even. With my own commentary.
I'm black.

Here, I'd normally go for a Queen side, but I decided to immediately play with the open file for that Rook.
18. Qb3 b5 19. Bd2 Ra8c8
Here I anticipated the computer moving the Rook to c and decided to back up the pawn. I then thought it was likely that pushing the b would be handy later

Here I moved to lure the Queen into checking me thinking I'd be better off without it sitting behind the bishop. When it made its next move, I knew I was good (which I wouldn't have been aware of a few weeks ago). So I pushed the Queen into attacking.
26. Qe4 Nf6 27. Qxe6 Qxe6 28. Bxe6 Rb8e8
Here I forced the computer to choose between protecting its Bishop and losing one and probably both of its suddenly very important pawns or lose a Bishop. It chose to ditch a bishop

Here I lured the Rook to c, but only had a general inkling of the direction I wanted to go but I knew I was on to something. Rook takes the bait.

It was after 36 that I saw how I wanted to do it and this is one of the only times this has happened to me so deeply. The surprise here for the cpu is that I didn't protect my pawns on g and h, but I didn't realize that I had placed my bishop in a sneaky defensive position.
37. Rc5 Ne3 38. Rxa5 Rf2
These two moves I first sat on for awhile just to double and triple check my idea and then the mechanism makes its first step. Cpu again takes the bait and it doesn't even realize endgame has started
39. Rb5 Nf1 40. Rxb4 Rh2+
And here is the start of the final devastating attack. I can't be wrong to love it can I?
