Hi, I'm a young man (15 is a young man, is it not?) and I just recently learned about Chess. I realize you are all saying, who doesn't know what Chess is?, but I did not know until recently. I read a book on Advanced Chess Play and I really like the game. My question is how can I get good at chess.

I'm currently reading through an online book about tactics, showing me forks, pins, skewers and more stuff I haven't even read yet. I"m also trying to do a few puzzles at another website.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I get better by playing games. (Getting experience). Also the tactics trainer on this website helps me a lot. I practice my tactics almost every day.

Play a lot of games against a lot of different people.

I would personally say its better to play hard opponents and win half the time then crush easy opponents
