Two kings & a Bishop against a lone King....& still can't do it !

The_Ghostess_Lola

Don't you find that philosophically hilarious ?

The_Ghostess_Lola

AND....you can't do it with K + K + Kn vs. K either !

The_Ghostess_Lola

You may be able to do it with (10) kings + Kn or B....someone try & let us know.

But, I don't think so.

The_Ghostess_Lola

Assume that that pawn is a King. You can't get to this position w/ White to move....or with a Knight either.

The_Ghostess_Lola

The Black King couldn't even accidentally walk into the position....let alone being forced into it !

The_Ghostess_Lola

....and it doesn't seem that it could get corralled into it w/ (10) K's + B or Kn either.

The following is a two king mating position with a bishop. No mating positions exist in the bishop's opposite color corner, or with a knight. Obviously black avoids mate with Kf1, but mate can be forced with a third white king if black does not reach a safe corner.

Nice !!....TY....wolf183....the Discovered ++ !
