I played a home computer 16K in the 70s and won 5/0 giving it 5 mins per move. Lovely display.

Enjoyable documentary on the history of chess computers, and the Deep Blue vs Kasparov matches.

As for personal chess, computers the best I have ever come across was the CXG Sphinx ChessCard from Newcrest Technology. It had a very small display of four digits (ie. E2E4) but as the name suggests it fit into your wallet although it came with its own including a 2D set which I soon discarded. It had the audacity to suggest a new move not considered by Estrin in his Two Knights Defence. It was a position which goes back to 1619. B3 8 ... Nd4 on page 82 of my Batsford's copy. It had a hearing aid battery which never ran out. What a contrast to my father's purchase of a talking computer at the time (1984) costing £400 much to my mother's disgust.

Apologies for not learning how to do this earlier but in my defence I am 73 years old.
