One of my present opponents has a technique whereby he goes in and out of holiday mode almost daily. He only uses up enough holiday time that it refreshes immediately to his full two month allocation.
Of course the effect of this is to extend the time limit on his games.
Is this an abuse and should there be a limit on the number of times a player can go in and out of holiday mode in any given period, say three or four times a year?
Don't think that's still possible here. Pretty sure each vacation now is for a minimum of 24 hours. I've been wrong before...but not this time!
It's important not to expend vacation time frivolously or abusively. To discourage these behaviors, we have implemented a one-day minimum on vacation length:
- All vacation times will be consume a minimum of 24 hours.
- Example 1: If you are only on vacation for 5 minutes, 24 hours will be deducted from your remaining vacation time.
- Example 2: If you are on vacation for 23 hours, 24 hours will be deducted.
- Example 3: If you are on vacation for 25 hours, then it is 25 hours (not 48) that will be consumed.
