I looked at your games. you do know how to play chess. What you don't have is experience and that only comes with playing. I would like to recommend 4 books for you to read. ( yes, books. I am old school.) 1. Bobby Fischer teaches Chess by Bobby Fischer. this book will introduce you to tactics and how to evaluate positions. 2. Tactics on Every Square by Bruce Pandolfini. 3. Better Opening Play by Edmar Mednis and 4. The Ideas behind Chess Openings by Ruben Fine. this book will explain in detail the reasons why the pieces are placed where they are placed in classical e4 and d4 openings. good luck, have fun, and everyone starts right where you are at.

you can start with almost any video about chess on YouTube. at your level, any knowledge is going to encourage growth. But understand that videos on YouTube is just a start. it is not a proper education. There are certain things that videos will not teach you.

Learn how to do that(youtube etc).
Then focus on blundering less than your opponent, trade everything to the naked kings and mate(soundsโ€ฆacceptable)

1. Learn the boost start
ย
ย The boost start is the first thing that you need to learn every time you play a new game because the timing's different every time. In this one it's a little trickier because there are different levels of boost, and if you don't time it perfectly you'll get a much weaker one.
The trick is to hold down the accelerator the second the '2' stops moving down. An easier way to time it is by looking at Lakitu's hands โ€“ when he makes the '2' gesture, that's when to hold it down. Do it right on the '2' and you'll get the fastest boost.

2. Give auto steering a go, but don't rely on it

If you're completely new, you might want to try out auto steering (which is turned on by default). This puts a little antenna on the back of your kart, and any time it looks like you're going to hit a barrier or drive over an edge, the antenna will light up and guide you back on track.
It's a really useful way of getting used to the game without getting too frustrated, but once you get the hang of it you should probably go into the options and turn it off โ€“ it also applies the brakes a little when it kicks in, so if you don't use it you'll take corners faster.

3. Pick a kart that suits your style

There are loads of different types of vehicles, and by combining your character, vehicle body, wheels, and glider you can put together a range of wildly different karts, bikes, and quads. Mess around with these combinations to find the kart that best suits your playing style.
For example, if you're an aggressive driver who bumps into opponents a lot, use a heavier character and bigger wheels so that you can increase the kart's weight. If you're just starting and you're in the habit of crashing a lot, focus on increasing your acceleration so you can get back up to full speed quickly. If you think you're a pro, increase your top speed instead. It will take you longer to reach it but once you do, you'll dominate โ€“ if you don't crash.
