How bad is a 227 rating in rapid? Be brutally honest please

I don't want a sugar coated answer.

I want a brutally honest answer.

I know 227 is a bad rating in rapid. But how bad is it? Is it terrible? Super terrible? Am I amongst the worst? 

Are my dreams of becoming a grandmaster pointless?

Rounding this to 10%, we can get a visual that if you were to play any random chess players (including Grandmasters, but also including complete beginners), then you'll win 1 game for every 10 on average.

Chess is not for you.

Brutally honest answer: it's as bad as it can reasonably be expected to get. Most people are already rated higher just after having learnt the rules, the basics, and having played a few practice games. In other words, 227 Rapid is how good you might expect the average person to be around an hour after being introduced to the game.

As pointed out by KeSeto, you are worse at chess than 90% of people who know the rules of chess. You would be considered "bad at chess" even by people who don't play chess, hate chess, and/or have only played a few times in their life. For reference, I was already rated 450 after my very first few games, and I had hated chess with a passion before that.

I feel no remorse in saying any of this since you're obviously either a troll or a child who would desperately need a reality check at some point, anyway. No, there is no chance you will ever become a grandmaster, let alone beat the world champion. But you can still set an ambitious and impressive goal which is within the realm of possibility ─ such as one day becoming an expert or master. Both are achievements that are widely recognised both within the chess scene and outside of it that don't require you to live in a delusion. I would recommend you set one of those (or lower, if you aren't ready to dedicate years of your life to continuous training).
