This is the way...
Create a challenge
Click search so that you’ll u can search for a specific opponent
Challenge “Computer1”
That will put you versus Komodo chess engine level one.
You will win and get the achievement. I did.
This is also a great way to get chess marathon because the computer will never resign
well that works too...but it's more fun to play the engine at full strength
I just played it at full strength I lasted 30 moves but lost 😢
