At your level openings knowledge is not important. Study tactics and endgame technique. And take care of your pieces.

Watching gms play have helped me learn a lot on how to think, watch closely, and try to find the logic behind every move, and you will learn how to think in chess.

stop resigning after only a couple of moves. Make your opponents mate you if they can.

This game went out to 25 moves and you should have played on.

You need to be persistent, but also know when to stop. You'll get there eventually if you try.

It took me about nine months, but I made it. For some people it takes even longer. You won't know until you get there.
