A few of the books that helped me learn how to think like a chess player and find good plans:
"Logical Chess, Move by Move" — Irving Chernev
"Chess: The Art of Logical Thinking" — Neil McDonald
"Understanding Chess, Move by Move" — John Nunn
"My System" — Aron Nimzowitsch
For me,It is hard to play positions because I don't understand them.I don't know the correct plan/s and I have a hard time visualizing the the positions after 4-5 moves. How can I improve on this.
