In 1997, an IBM supercomputer beat Garry Kasparov, the current world chess champion at that time, in the famous Deep Blue versus Garry Kasparov match which result in the chess game entering into an era of computer domination. Now humans are no not even close too beating modern chess computer like Stockfish, Leela Chess Zero, Houdini, Berserk and Koivisto. This influence many things in chess both positively and negatively:
Positively:
- we can learn many things from chess computer: their style, what moves they play in the opening and in endgames,...
- with the help of chess computer we can analyze chess game faster, more accurately and easier.
- we can createComputer Championships
negatively:
- people can cheat using chess computer.
- more people are playing with week computers that playing with humans
- people grew more dependent on chess computers to analyze chess game with moves you cannot understand and not using their own brain to think of other playable moves that you can improve.
Inconclusion chess computers have affected us and others in many ways for negative and positive reasons but what can be sure is chess computer have been since dominating chess influence us and others a lot.
