FIDE Online is just a money maker for them, it doesn't give real titles. Don't use that. Find a real life chess club and ask around there for membership, lectures, training sessions, tournaments. Or find the webpage of the Syrian Chess Federation and look for a list of real over-the board tournaments.
Real life tournaments are fun, it's worth trying anyway.
I'm playing chess using the app only, I don't participate in tournaments in my country, but if only from playing the app I reached a qualified rate like 2300 for NM, would I get a diamond membership 💎 without doing a thing or paying anything ?
Please help
You are confusing real chess ratings with online chess.com ratings. In order to get a master title, you need to reach a rating by FIDE or by your country at OTB chess. And some countries don't even give master titles at all.
If you reach 2300 on chess.com, nothing happens.
Well, if my country is not active in these things, is there any way to get a free membership online ?
And what is OTB?
And also, I don't know the difference between chess.com rates like blitz and rapid and daily, what do these things do?
And so you said if I reached 2300 in one of them nothing happens?
I'm quite lost...
If your country (I don't know what that is) isn't giving NM titles, go to FIDE rated tournaments and get a FIDE-master title. But to do that you need to get much better at chess.
OTB = over the board. Not online.
Online ratings are just a toy. They don't mean anything.
Go find a chess club somewhere near you, and they will help you. If you are indeed from Syria, these are tough times, but chess always survives tough times.
Thank you very much for your help!
I really respect this help while I've been really seeking for it with no answer.
It might seem a bit small but it meant a lot...
And yes I am from Syria and it is really a hard time we're living nowadays...
But just one last question, even though it needs a lot of skill, don't FIDE rated online tournaments need money?
I went to FIDE online platform and it asked me for paid subscription in order to engage in rated games..
