For all i know chess doesn't require much mental stamina but consistent concentration and analytical thinking.Good sleep,exercise and diet takes care of the rest.And also training.But no matter what you do,if you are meant for chess,you will choose chess or chess will choose youwink.png.

Bottom line is,some people may never grasp chess however they try,its not in them may be.

I think there are two great approaches to enhance your psychological stamina.

The first is to play long time control diversions consistently. I endeavor to play a hour and a half with 5 second postpone diversion every day on-line. This will keep my mind dynamic and set me up for competitions when I should play 2 or 3 long recreations in 1 day.

The second is to consistently experience chess confounds. The asset I get a kick out of the chance to use for this is the "Chess.com Tactics". Every day I endeavor to log in here and complete 5 astounds. This has truly helped me to set myself up for the extreme mental concentration expected to play the more extended time control diversions.

I trust that these proposals will help you to enhance your psychological capacities.

Yeah, I need to buckle down and play the looong games online. I've been skipping out just playing rapid. Which has been fun, but not really enough time.

I do chess puzzles daily, about 5 - 15 daily. Sometimes I feel great, sometimes that's all the chess I have.

No, that's the way I speak now. I've been trying to transition into old English of late as it sounds a lot cooler.

 One thing which improves your game for sure is sparring with a high rated player OTB.You will absorb their style and tactical sense if you play regularly.That's the real way to improvement in chess.

You could try long multiplication in your head. Start with two digits times two digits and when that’s solid, move onto three digits times two digits. Eventually do three digits times three digits. The last one hurts like hell, at least for me, but it sure as hell helps with concentration.

I have been doing keto since last April, and lost 80 lbs.  No more arthritis, i sleep better, feel better, no more mental "fog", my thinking is clearer.  Its been a God send.

I've only been on a keto diet for two weeks. I was hesitant to start it because I wasn't sure if I had the willpower to resist all of the bad foods: bread, cookies, candy, soda, etc.. And frankly, it just seemed weird to be eating all that fat on purpose. :) So far it's working - I feel better, I'm losing weight without trying, and I believe I'm thinking clearer, although I don't know if that's going to translate into better chess.

I'm still waiting for ketosis to hit. Time will tell whether I can stay on it for good. You guys wish me luck!

The meat and seafood is good, but the bread in the background is mostly off limits. I'm shooting for less than 50 grams of carbs a day, and you don't have to eat much bread to go over that limit. You can eat a healthy amount of meat, but not too much (excess protein will get converted to sugar, which is bad.)

It was some of the best advice i received when i started.  

Basically...when youre sitting on the couch, and you think its gas, dont try and do a one cheek sneak.  Go to the bathroom.
