Do you have any idea how a normal GM, IM do their daily chess routine?   For example: 1hr tactics, Playing 2hrs live games. etc..

Just asking because I want to improve my chess this year :)

Yes I know quite a bit about it.  My roomate in mountaineering school in Innsbrück was an FIDE International Master.  I saw his daily routine every day for two years.

Strange, especially that you come from Florida.

Can you share a couple of his daily routine?

He is ranked #32 in the world. Although, being a genius, he may be able to get by on less study than the rest of us here. Interesting read nonetheless. To your question, see the question "How do you work on chess?"

Wake up at 0600 for rollcall.  We were rationed 2 cups of bitter ersatz coffee, then we had light calisthetics for 20 minutes and a 5 km hike.

After the hike my roomate collected his mail where he had about twenty postal chess games going on all over the world.  Over meals he would study advanced tactical puzzles from books.

Thank you dude
