how do i access my chess.com email account?

i cant find the link to access my chess.com email account anywhere on my profile. please help..

Newer accounts don't have a Chess.com email account. The service was discontinued some time ago.

They still advertise it here, so the service must still be available.  Right!?

heres my account its not there and Im a Diamond member! I thought it had to do with your join date, but linuxed, i checked your join date, it's this month like mines! but I dont have the link, look:

To be clear, I do not have an email account, and I am not a paying member.

The screen shot I posted shows they are still advertising that you will receive an email account when you become a premium member.  So if they are advertising email accounts but then not delivering, well... that's just plain old lying.

It always seems that those who contribute least, have the most to moan about.

I am not a paying member either. I was offered a free 10 day trial of Diamond Membership, so I took it. If I cant access it now with diamond, then the service probably isn't avail. anymore. But if their still advertising that you can have one(an @chess.com email address) when you cant, they should really stop it, I was looking forward to using it. Thx for all the replies guys. :}>

That link does need removing showing its possible to get an @chess.com email address.

Sadly we are slowly phasing those out and it is no longer possible to get one of those email addresses sorry :(

so kohai, you said that its being phased out, does that mean previous accounts with the service currently active, will now eventually lose it?

So it is gone now.  I had a chess.com email account but rarely used it.

Please, elaborate.

You've only been here a couple of weeks, but you don't stop knocking the site. Perhaps, I've read a misrepresentative sample of your postings and the rest of your efforts, embrace the site, lovingly. Please, feel free to post links to those comments.

If you don't like it here, why not find somewhere you do like? you are not forced to stay. There's a whole big world wide web out there.

That's what I thought, you were taking a passive agressive stab at me.

In all fairness I will say that the site works considerably well(one of my favorites) and that I found that the email service does still exist (see screenshot, mid left):

for premium users, even free members, but like Doggy_Style said, only if you were a previous/ older member (the member in the screenshot joined in 2009 so he has access to the email service). So to all wondering, it does still function, but only if you were already a member earlier before they stopped including the service with memberships for free or premium accounts. As far as service termination, it's not clear as to whether the users who do have the service will get to keep it, or not. Anyway the conversation has been good, and I hope this helps. Thx to all including chess.com :}>

Update. The email is still functioning for the accounts who have it. No word yet on future availability for present users.

If you don't have an @chess.com email address then I am sorry,  but those are no longer available.

If you DO have one, and are having problems logging into it because of a password issue, please contact support, let them know your @chess.com email address and we can easily get the password reset for you so it will then work and you can access your @chess.com emails again :)
