How do I convert the Chess.com rating system to the FIDE/Elo rating system?

Hi,

I am quite close to getting the CM title but I need to know my FIDE rating to actually get it. Can anyone please give me the formula for converting Chess.com's rating system to the FIDE rating system?

Thanks,

Why? There isn't a one-to-one conversion and you can't get a FIDE title for online play here. You only get a CM title by playing in FIDE rated OTB events. If you do have a FIDE rating, then you can just look at your FIDE player card at ratings.fide.com

There are people that have come up with estimated formulas but it can vary by person quite a bit in reality.

HOW do I play in FIDE rated OTB tournaments(what are OTB tournaments?)?

Over The Board tournaments. You go to a tournament that gets rated under FIDE. You will want to go to one where a lot of players are already FIDE rated to make it more likely you can actually get rated.

As for finding them, FIDE rated tourneys have to be listed on their site in advance, though I guess somerimes it doesn't get done.

Are there going to be any FIDE (OTB) tournaments hosted by New Zealand?

If your chess.com Tactics Trainer rating is X, live blitz is Y, correspondence is Z, and the number of years you've been on chess.com is A, then

FIDE rating = (X2 + Y/2 + Z√A) / √XA
