You cannot delete a forum post; you can only delete your own posts within a forum topic.

So if I created a topic and all I get are aggressive jerks replying, I can't simply delete my original post?

Once there are replies, it's part of the community, and you won't be able to delete it.

It has nothing to do with technology. It's a philosophical stance that once other members have commented the original poster can't remove the topic since it's now community content.

Blogs allow the poster to delete.

Touchy feely nonsense is what it is. As the author of the comment, I should hold the right to delete it at will as it's my intellectual property. So now I'm just subject to harassment and ridicule because of an opinion. Sounds about right in the mind of a liberal run website.

I have the perfect solution... I'm deleting my account and will not add to their analytics any longer.

While you have closed your account, the TOS covers it...
