How do I get better at chess?

Currently, my rapid rating is 484. I want to get it higher (800+). I've noticed that the most common reason that I lose is because I blunder a lot. What should I do to get better, and also blunder less?

++ It is a matter of mental discipline

  1. Think about your move
  2. Decide
  3. Imagine your move played on the board
  4. Check it is no blunder. Look at possible checks, captures, threats.
  5. Only then play it.

Puzzle Rush is free today, unlimited. Do that, Survival Mode, all day, then play some games tomorrow to see how you did.

Puzzles get progressively harder. When you lose three, it ends,. Click on the red x’s and figure out the solution for each three. Then start a new game.

here is one nice tip for breaking 400 and beyond: make blunder checking your priority as i am pretty sure everyone in this rating blunders hard
