How do I get better at rapid?

Here are some general tips on how to improve your game:

Step #1: Don't play king's gambit There is a lesson on chess.com that teaches you how to beat it, so your opponents might have an edge. Learn opening principles (what to develop first, how to develop it, which squares should your pawns control) and then try learning an opening that gets your king castled asap and puts your pieces on squares that give you an easy strategy. For example, if the opening makes you push your pawns on one side of the board, just push them further and try to attack on that side. If the opening lets you aim both of your bishops at your opponent's king, attack the king. Come up with a general strategy and try to coordinate your pieces to work together to achieve your goal. Don't be afraid to experiment, either you learn that your idea doesn't work, or your opponent fails to counter your attack and you get those easy rating points. All your attacks get stronger the more puzzles you solve. Good luck!

Thank you! Is there a specific opening that you suggest (I use king's pawn and king's gambit almost all the time)?

King's pawn is fine, you can look up the Italian game for an idea of how a well developed position looks like (don't play the opening though) and I would suggest trying out Caro-Kann opening, if you're into e4. The problem with king's gambit is that it exposes your king to all kinds of queen+bishop attacks which force you into all sorts of unpleasant positions. From the last 3 of your rapid games I see that you need to work a lot on your tactics (you blundered a piece in 1 move many times) so that you see the whole board, not tunnel-vision on the part of the board where the attack is happening. Practice puzzles themes: forks, mate in 1 and 2, basic checkmates, hanging piece, pin, endgame fundamentals (once you learn basics, you might find yourself in the endgame and you dont want to gift your opponent easy wins by not knowing how to finish a game). Practice the most basic drills: rook + queen checkmate, 2 rooks checkmate, king + queen checkmate and king + rook checkmate. I'm sure you will see great improvement once you get all of those done.

Thank you for the advice! I hope to be good enough to play you one day!
We can play one game right now if you want
I like to play rapid chess and I'm trying to get to at least a 1000 rating. Currently I'm around 740. How do I win these games and just get better at rapid?
