Gm's can help. But most won't reply to you.
How do I get higher?
Your GM teacher, who you work with 2x/week should know what you should do much better than any of us. In general, 30 min/day is not a lot. If it doesn't affect your responsibilities, I'd try doing tactics problems here or at chesstempo.com a lot and after you solve or fail, determine what Tactical Motifs were involved and try to guess why it took you so long to discover it. Look at the tactics TAGs assigned to the problems by others and see if they match yours. You should be able to demonstrate to anyone all the tactics listed on these interactive pages:

"... I know that a large percentage of my readers almost exclusively play on the internet – after all, you are reading this on the internet, right!? But there is a strong case for at least augmenting internet play with some OTB play, whether in a club or, better yet, a tournament. Tournament play gives you the kind of concentrated, slow chess that often helps improve your game, especially if you are inexperienced at slow play. ...How often should you play? ... A minimum of 8 OTB tournaments and about 100 slow games a year is a reasonable foundation for ongoing improvement. ... Can’t make 100? Then try for 60. ..." - NM Dan Heisman (2002)

Some GM's will ask to be your coach. I have an IM ask me before, I said no, cause I knew I wouldn't have time. ![]()
Look, playing to much bullet is not a real possible thing. Playing to little rapid is something though. I can play a lot of rapid AND bullet, and I won't be playing to much bullet.
Ok

What do you do with your coach each week?
We do endgames like Phillodor defense and studies. Sometimes we do tactics and play each other.
If you need help, please contact our Help and Support team.
