they really help in the beginner phase
How do I get out of the low ratings?

quite true, i love eating it with ketchup...but anyways, not to get off-topic. as i said before, try tactics, playing more games, and checking out the vienna game and queen's gambit for openings. i forgot to add, and i'm sure many have told you already, 2-3 months is not really considered stuck. anyways, even better luck on your journey through chess (don't look in my profile)!

@bichuu yes when you analyze it you can see the clock. if you are losing due to time, try playing either rapid games or daily games, and follow the 20-40-40 rule

first learn to mate with queen, 2r, 1 rook
learn basic opening principles (dont memorize lines)
then just tactics, tactics, tactics
I went from 960 new player to 1250 in 3 months just by doing tactics. i know im still bad but if you want 1250 thats how u do it
I've been stuck at about 700 rating and I can never get past it, but instead I drop to the 600's and slowly make my way back. I tried the chess.com lessons and nothing really helps. Should I keep practicing or try something else? Or will I just be stuck?
Try to make all out attack in every chess games, your opponents will likely afraid of being checkmated so they will make blunders or play super passively, then you can increase your rating.
also try learning some useful openings, like the Vienna Game and Queen's Gambit
