well, I mean a gambit just means that you give away a pawn. technically, its still a gambit even if its taken back 1 move later.

i play 1|0 but i still don't consider it "real chess" because i still drop queens for free all the time, which shouldn't happen but still does anyway. 2|1 is kind of slow, so i would consider that more blitzy and real chess-like, even though it is bullet.
that's true. 2|1 is basically blitz. 1|0 you have a little more time to think, than say, 0.5|0 (30 sec). I think 30 second and 10 second games become the point where time matters more than the position.
