How do ppl use databases with books?

This is perhaps a silly question, but I've been wondering what is the best way to keep track of games and game data from books one has read, be it game collections or opening theory. Do you keep a separate database for each book, or do all game collections go in one big "games.db" file? All openings in one file, or everything kingsindian on its own, etc.?
