Do you mean what is a passed pawn? A passed pawn is a pawn that has a clear file(no pawn is in front of it) where it can promote.
A criminal that must be kept under lock and key.
No I mean when the opposite player has a chance to take you're pawn with his pawn but decides to pass and move up rite next to your pawn. Then by rules because he passed withwout taking my pawn I should be able to take his and move my pawn to his old square
