If I get angry in tournaments it is because I made a stupid blunder. Normally I dont really hide the anger. Its not like poker where if they know how you are feeling they get an advantage. If they made a good move it is really your fault for letting them.
So if I do get angry after losing a pawn or even worse a knight Ill normally just keep playing on. It doesnt get to me that much anyway. Usually I will lose. You cant come back down a knight against a decent player.
Put simply => What do you do when you feel you are getting mad or blowing a gasket during a chess game?
You know, the times when you flare up when you miss something (like a tactical shot) OTB in a tournament or even worse, play somebody who is doing a great job getting under your skin?
Sure, the wisest answer would be to take a page off Mr.Spock's book and say something along the lines of "emotion is ... illogical".
Curious to see how the better players deal with it in the "real" world?
Thanks in advance!
