I like playing thru one game at a time, one move at a time trying to comprehend all the annotations. If presented with key positions, would I play as the Masters played ? You want to emphatically say YES !
It does very little good to zip thru games in a cursory fashion. To aspire to climb the Rating Heights, we must try to comprehend how the Masters play ( my opinion)
I just picked up one of Irving Chernev's books, and I am wondering what the best way to study the games in it would be. Should I play through the games quickly and look at them again later, try to memorize each of the games while observing the annotations, or just simply play through one game at a time? Thanks in advance for the help!
