How do you move to strategy from tactics?

Sort:
armhow

I think  you are correct on the feel of the word armhow, but logistics means supplies and never strategy nor tactics.

I really mean logistic Hluek. The reason why the the Brits were able to escape from Dunkirk because Germans Panzer group stretched too far in their advance. This depleted their supplies for battle. Their lorries were not able to catch up with them. They have to wait for a day or two for replenishment enabling the Brits and its allies escaped from captivity. They failed to calcualte well this factor when they laid their plans beforehand their attack.

>>>for chess it must be speed and fundamentals.<<<<

 true.

Dunno about Dunkirk. If Hitler was like he claimed to be then racism was high on his agenda and he wouldn't want to wipe his racial opponents out.

His writiings wrre all about attacking the Russians who he thought inferior (he'd never been).

I've been studying him because we have lots of film fotage whereas other in history in war/chess:) dont really exist.

armhow

Hi Hluek, how is life doing with chess? I am quite busy these days doing a lot of projects. Seems I lost track with chess.

hleuk2

projects are good ways to advance armhow!

The world is coming together and we push into spaces.Wink

armhow

You are right Hluek! Projects are quite fun too like chess. I played a 1600 plus rank player, won one game and lost two. I think I won't be able to achieve my ten winning streak. My wayof playing seems to be quite careless now a days.

hleuk2

I'm glad to hear that amhow: you have a great future ahead of you.

armhow

Thanks Hluek...

Depends how you look at problem: maybe you only got half a face

armhow

What we perceived to what we believe influences us on how we look at circumstances. This is based on our gained knowledge and experience. Cultural practice and values also affects our perspectives. Guess that how we look at problems.

hleuk2

Hi armhow.

The east and west keep forgettng each other's great perspectivesFrown

The aim in philosophy is perspectives. To hold multi- perspectives simultaneously is a high aim.

Culture is dismissable by studying anthropology.  Although it can be comforting to settle in one culture, the wise do not rest there.

Mankind is extraordinarily similar.

Beuaty humour, money, power, sports, grief, even bielfs and great ideas cross tribes and cultures.

Civilisations are theorized to move in cycles.

To see, to perceive, to detatch, but to go into battle only when battle is correct etc

I know the good chess players who defeat me appear to have won by luck as the game turned aropund sudenly.

This is Sun Tzu genius!

I agree we ought to dismiss culture in favour of being truely great. Maybe self peace is greatness?

Good hunting!

I agree with you Hluek as the bible states in Ecclesiates, " the race is not for the swift, nor battle for the strong, food for the wise, mpney for the brilliant but time and chance happen to them all".

hleuk2

That is interesting armhow. The preacher wrote well.

I think Man will rise above time and chance with technology and some luck and build new universes. I believe it is God's will we overcome death and resurrect the dead with our coming technology which will be spectacular. Ecclesiates is beautifully written. I was told it needs to be read with the new testament when  the covenant between Man and God is reset, and the terror of the Old witnesses of god (testaments) moved aside to a higher, better good of 'Love thine enemy'.

It was also moved from 'do not kill' to 'do not even be angry'

That is so hard I dont know anyone who applies it.

Christianity is one Way. But all paths that lead to greatness of kindness are surely godly.

The precepts of Jesus Christ compare to Confusious and Bhuda.

There must be a million religions in India.

The only thing I know for sure is that I dont know anything at all.

So I try to pursue the moral code.

Re: Chess

I think there are 3 stages:

1. Learning the moves.

2. Learning some tactics in it.

3. Learning deep strategy.

I am  between 1-2!

The ALICE books were codes of mathematics and chess but I haven't broken them yet.

armhow

This is so easy. This means 1 + 1 = 3.

hleuk2

Realy? care to explain?

armhow

Alice became aware of her conscious state of mind. She realized synergistic living when one is aware of man's three levels of consciousness. These are the conscious, subconscious, and the super conscious minds. The conscious is the realm of logic and reasoning or physical awareness. The subconscious are the intuition, inspiration and creativity. Very little is spend on the subconscious level even if it is necessary  for man's transition in attaining the flow of inspiration and universal power from the super conscious thereby often times it is cut off here. The super conscious level is the source of universal power and is rarely used.  For most part, it is not even known to average man. Most assuredly it is there, waiting to be drawn upon, but lack of awareness keeps this power virtually inactive.

Picture in your mind a sweltering day.  Out in the yard, lying on the grass is a garden hose, rolled up in an orderly fashion immobile but prepared for action... ready to be of service.  It is a vehicle for life giving element of water, but it can give nothing and is of no value until the spigot is turned on. As the spigot is cracked open, the water may first come through in just a trickle.  Take a drink from that hose.  You will probably find the hose contains stagnant water and perhaps tastes a little rubbery. The water was clean and pure when it left the spigot, but it has picked up impurities from the garden hose. Now, turn the spigot full force!!! Taste the water again... is it not fresh and pure? This water has not had time to stagnate from lack of use.

So it is with man.  Become aware that man is much like a garden hose.  Man is the vehicle through which universal power will flow- when allowed to flow.

Most men want desperately to live by the "do unto others" concept, which is the key to synergism, but they have not really understood the meaning of this law.  Man swallows may beliefs; but until he digests them, these beliefs do not become part of him.  when man uses others to further his own ends or to accomplish his goals, he becomes an exploiter. synergism cannot exist when exploitation occurs.  Exploitation results in inner turmoil, confusion, frustration, and sickness.  It opposes synergism.

"As you do unto others, so it will be done unto you". If man exploits, he will be exploited by others and will reap turmoil.  If man synchronized by working with and for his neighbor, he will be given unto; and peace will reign in his life.

I have not yet met a man or woman who is not searching for this peace.  I am searching. I am searching for what can simply be called better way of life.  Mankinf in general is tired of the violence, crime, and turmoil that flows through our society.  You need not look far to find indications that we as a nation are all still searching for a better world.... a world of total love and peace.

If we do, indeed, seek to bring peace to the world, we can do it by first bringing peace to ourselves. Man cannot give that which he does not have. Until man finds peace within himself and can manifest it, he cannot teach others to be peaceful. He will be of no use to himself or to others.

Balance is the key to synergism. As man gains more awareness of his three levels of mind and learns to use them more productively, he will gain this necessary balance.  When a man has synergism, a mysterious third force enters his life.... one plus one equals three, not two.  the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.

                            1          +          1         =          3

Mankind, as whole, must learn to leave behind the "you or me" attitude of the past and begin to make the "you and me" or "you and us" attitude a totasl reality today!!!! Living synergistically is a working "you and me" attitude.

Its like chess, where all minor and major pieces work together in synergy to attain it ends.

Bravo!

Happiness is elusive when you seek something else:)

armhow

Right, happiness depend on your mind set.

hleuk2

That is the highest wisdom I know. But I think Socrates' statement that it is impossible to know anythign at all, though possibly true is impossible to live with generally.

I dont know what your final aim may be, but it unlilely to be as superifical as money.

We have a true posibility of never dying (by coming science and technology), and depending on your 5age view of this your aim may be altered
