GMs train; I don't.
How do you train?

I like to drink beer the night before and on the day. If I can sneak out back, during the game, for some 'erb, then my preparation is complete.

I play with the heaviest pieces available, and when the time comes for the game, moving the normal pieces seems so easy.

I also jog several miles a day (so I can be ready to make a quick getaway with lots of clocks and stuff from the tournament hall).

Start using the Tactics Trainer, read articles here on various aspects of the game and you could also read a chessbook or two along the lines of Chernev's "Logical Chess Move by Move" and/or "The Most Instructive Games of Chess Ever Played."

I practiced benching 1200 Lbs (haven't been feeling well so only 1200) to be ready when I have to play lightning as moving the pieces will be easy.
What do you do for your chess training? training that is FREE. answers from titled players would be greatly aprreciated :)
