How do you win a chess game? I mean, I've seen players with 1589 or something. How do they get so good? Please give me some advice.

Domyou mean how to win like the rules? Or just how to get better?

Is 1589 good?

by first realising how you lose chess games , figure that out and you can avoid making similar mistakes

i recommend post game analysis of a loss , and even flipping the board so you see it from the other players perspective , what attacks they made that won ,

make this part of your armour and it will be you that delivers the final blow more often than not

Step #1:  Stop playing bullet if you're learning

By not losing…. Seriously, it was around the 1300 mark that I finally realized this. Beginners only look at how to attack to win with little to no regard for defense.

This might not be good all the time, because it can potentially lead to lots of draws too.

"How do you win a chess game?"
1) By avoiding mistakes.
2) By exploiting your opponent's mistakes

You could also win on time.

Or by resignation

1589 isn't good, where'd you get that idea from?

A draw is always better than a loss though
