Had this happen to me in a game just now - my opponent just copies every move I make. At move 12, in the below position, I get an idea. See if you can solve for what I did in puzzle form. Note: there may be more than one solution, but this is what I chose.

Checks and some captures cannot be copied. Put him in check and he will have to do something different. Or you could do the Scholar's Mate (4 move checkmate) which cannot be copied; once he is mated it's over.
