How does a 1700 player improve?

I've reached 1700 FIDE Elo rating (a  little more to be precise) and I wonder what is the best way to progress from here.

It seems that I know a little of everything in chess (openings, middlegame plans, tactics, endgames) but I don't excel in any. My calculation is ok, but it fails when the positions get very complicated or the lines to calculate are longer.

Currently, I practice tactics every day and I'm improving my repertoire and specializing in some lines.

I play OTB all rhythms but online I play mostly blitz and bullet.

There's an element of patience and fun to this: I don't have the patience and energy to go deeper into my study. It is difficult for someone with a busy life to enter the study mood that a thoughtful study requires. But probably that is the only way.

Yes, I play the Nimzo-Indian, but with white, I play the London which is solid. I'm specializing in few openings (bogo, nimzo, french and London).

I mostly do tactical exercises.

Step 1. Ask Chess.com forums how to get better.  CHECK!

Step 2. Read boring books and waste a lifetime studying....

yes, reading books is helpful, but the chess.com forums sometimes don't give you much feedback.
