How does one analyze their games?

I don't know how to analyze and learn from my OTB and online games. I don't understand, bcuz every single chess game is completely different from another. if u learn from one mistake in a single game, how would that help because u are probably never gonna get that same position ever in ur life. I know that mistakes in the opening can be learned from, bcuz openings are often repeated. However how the heck am i supposed to learn from unique chess games?

Also, i cant transfer my 2100 rapid skills to otb for the life of me. Im currently sucking at otb and today i played a classical tournament for 2/5.(i beat an 1800, drew an 1800 and 1600, and lost to a 1700) it was very bad, as in both the drawn games i was winning at one point but failed to convert, and against the 1700 i had a great attack but made the most simple ahh one move blunder even a 1000 could probably spot. i am desperate to improve in otb. im seeing 2k rapid kids who are somehow 1900 otb. im 2.1k rapid but 1.6k otb???

Well when u analyze a mistake, tho u’ll prob never play the same position, u can learn from what caused the mistake instead of learning wha to do in an exact position. Maybe it’s not the actual chess that’s the issue, maybe it’s other distractions during ur games in OTB tournaments. I actually find that I play better during OTB games, and it helps me remember the games too.

Take your time OTB so you don't do one move blunder again. 15 % time for the first 15 moves is enough. Then spend double the time around 30 % for every 15 moves thereafter. All mistakes can be understood by a tactical or positional error that you then can stop from happening again by remembering. There are many Chessable courses on Calculation for example.

you obviously play unique games, this question feels absurd to me. obviously you start to see patterns and tactics (so basically vision) that helps you improve, probably why you play better now.

I think he means how to learn from them. This is a problem for me too. I try to see what I could play better, but that doesn't really do anything.

Even I have this problem. Lets just say that its a opening mistake so the position can occur again so I learn what my mistake was, but when I play the same position again I forget what was the mistake and do it again.

Start with bending her over...oh wait. This is a PG space.

The system here, even for free accounts, does a remarkable job. Play through your own games with the system analasis...free accounts are allowed one per day...and pay attention. If the system says "this was not bad but this is a better move", pay most attention to those. Mistakes are easy. But when you are making good, but not the best moves, you need to see that.

Good Luck!!!

Also, at 2000+ you should not be asking this question....something smells awfully fishy..
