2000 in blitz Sure seems quite good to me

My fide OTB classical rating is 2000, while my blitz rating here is 2100 and rapid 2250.

I still do study from time to time, and play here and there OTB for my team albeit not that much. Last two games I played OTB recently against FMs I won. There fore, I believe, if I play more games OTB my rating will be higher. Few games a year is not enough to establish your real FIDE rating, and majority of players out there have no chance to play classical games OTB at all. I know my chess friends around my FIDE rating having higher and lower ratings here, so there is no general rule when it comes to comparison to Blitz. I find I still make a lot of trivial mistakes when I'm in time pressure and I can't help it, a sort of switch to different mode where I'm unable to see a move that would be obvious to me a minute later. Also, in my blitz games against 2000-2100 pool I find 2 different types of players, those who play really strong and those who are true blitz players navigating their rating ranges using other skills than just playing the best moves all the time. You also encounter the titled players in that rating range occasionally while you also can find a FM in 2800 range. I find there is no linear formula which comprehend the matter as someone here suggested it earlier.

For me, being around 2100 is just where you are to spot what are the areas to improve, and also to skill other crafts necessary for high blitz rating.

Hello, I've been playing chess on and off casually for a couple of years and I'm in the 1950-2000 elo range in blitz. According to stats I'm in the top 1-0.5% range. But it doesn't feel right since I've never studied anything or analyzed any game.
are the stats skewed due to the massive influx of new players?

Not very good we all hang peices like 500 elo sometimes

I'd say that 2000 blitz is about the level of a strong club player.

2000 Blitz is probally a commited player, who is more than casual

2000 players don't hang their peices. They 'hang them', and them checkmate easily

BigChessplayer, if trolls are bothering you, I have created the Anti-Trolling Club. Together, we can get trollers who just want attention and trouble banned to create a better enviornment. Chess.com will be more likely to listen to our complaints if we are unified.

I posed a question in this general discussion section. I was curious for someone to help me make sense of my current situation. I'm 55 Was taught to play by my dad at age 5 I currently fluctuate back and forth between 1350-1350 blitz elo 1500+ rapid While at the same time ; I can defeat a 1800 bot ; and at times play with 90+% accuracy at a sometimes strength of 2050 elo I've never studied books or reviewed my own games or practiced any one opening more than another.

2000 is very good.

That said, the inflation here is deceptive and leads to questions like this. It would be easy for chess.com to scale the ratings (. fit the curve) to FIDE ELO, to make them more meanjngful IRL.
