There are two advantageous things about playing LCP.

The first is that he always seems to wreck his pawn structure around his king even when there is another option.

Second-his endgame is pretty weak, especially when it comes down to a king and two pawns vs a king and a pawn or something like that.

I have beat him on hard once or twice but it's only when I really concentrate, I usually just blitz it which results in me even getting beat by him on easy quite a few times.

I really don't think LCP is rated 2000 even on "Hard." A 2000-rated player will easily destroy LCP almost every single time. I'd say it's more like 1600, at least on my computer.

If anyone has a recorded game with LCP where it's making 2000-level moves, maybe you could post it. I have recorded several games with LCP on "Hard," and in none of the games did LCP play anywhere near 2000 strength. LCP completely ignores positional play and is extremely materialistic -- it's not just a calculation issue, which is why I find it hard to believe that it can get to 2000 strength on a fast computer.

I beat him on hard also

Sometimes the computer just plays wierd on hard. Sometimes it feels easy and others, rock hard. I never beat the computer on 'hard' feeling hard but several times on 'easy' feeling hard.

I beat 'Little Chess Partner' in the endgame, setting the depth to 90. It took me 2 attempts (I salvaged a draw on the previous attempt).
