How I Beat a Grandmaster

Great story! Grandmasters must love it when they let a noob beat them in a skittles game to make them feel good about themself, then it ends up on the internet.
It is tough to be a checkmate-gnome. There are more grandmasters and more people beating their first grandmaster without my help. It knocks down my income.
I will cause you to checkmate your first grandmaster but in return you will give me your first born baby (similar to Rumpelstiltskin by the Grimm Brothers). Serious offers only. Healthy citizens only. No funny looking people. Building a micro-country deep in the woods, do not going looking for it. I have a ogre security-team, so do not going looking for it.

When I was a 1300, I skewered an 1800. Too pro.
Your story is better though, I've never beaten a GM! Only an NM.

Thank you for your kind responses and help on finding out who he was!
@thismic: Noted! Will do, I'm sorry if I offended you. Didn't mean to, just giving you a playful poke.
@awesome500: I'm sorry, it was a 5 minute game that seemed to go by so fast that I don't remember a thing. I do remember that he played the Caro Kann, and because my coach always plays that against me I know that line well.

My big scalp was beating a 2000 player when I was a 1300. It was my first time playing him and I knew he played the white side of the alekhine four pawns. So I booked up on a relatively rare sideline. He went wrong on move 7 or 8 and it was all over by about move 20. That's the value of opening prep. Of course he had no mercy every game after that for a few years!

Congratulations! and very nicely written article, enjoyed reading it.
Thank you! I really appreciate that. :)
