How important is chess to you

In other overall view of life where does chess rate in your world? 1 being least important thing while 10 being the most important thing.

I would say chess rates about a 2 or a 3 for me.  It is definitely more important than things like the WNBA, Golf or the Oscars.

I remember a time when I played a guy and did not care about the clock. He said hurry up you are running out of time. I said I don't care.

He got furious.

Not important at all, its just a game and treated like that, win or lose

Chess has been a major part of my life. It has been a hobby, a recreation, and a serious enterprise.

playing chess is only one way I enjoy chess. I also play through old games and study its history.

If you can make money on it, then I can see why it would be a major thing

My job is a major part of my life.
