How long does it noarmally take for a players rating to hit the 2000 mark

bro it took me forever to even reach 2000 on liches about 1 and a half

It took me 2-3 years to get very close to 2000, but it took me almost 4 years to actually reach it.

I played chess when I was young, then I stopped for couple of years, then I got back to chess in chess.com and got to 800 and stayed there for couple of months. Until I wanted to get 2k at chess, studied, invented and played rapid intensely for 12~16 hours a day for 4 months and I made it here

i'm only 11 and I suck which makes total sense but my spanish teacher has played for 23 years and he is 34 and is only 1300 elo.

You change when your learn control center I got good at that but then what…..I was lost until I learned about tactics ( forks , pins, etc) . I got better. Went from 8-10 quick. I'm a inpatient person so move quick. I mostly play 10 minute games. I'm struggling to understand position advances sacrificing material

It took me 5 years. But if ye work hard you can do it within 2 to 3years.

A friend of mine from school got to 2000 in a year

It takes 1 year if you do the right things and refrain from doing the wrong things.

I started playing chess in June of 2023 and by Christmas of that year I was 2000. But I am only 13 so I have a lot of free time to study.

Depends on the quality of the training.
