sorry, but you will never get there. globally, 605 million people play chess (according to FIDE). 1700 of them have made grandmaster. do the math.

I don't know exactly, but if you have enough free time, you can make this title.
Time is money. Sometimes chess doesn't deserve our time.

     Do you know that the GM title can only be won by playing (successfully) vs other GMs and IMs? They will also be devoting themselves to being the best they can be at chess. Many may have more talent than you. Only a very small % of humans have the mix of abilities needed to rise to the top of the chess world. 

     If you wish to become as good as you can at chess, go for it. Do not depend on reaching GM level. You'll probably be better off playing as much chess as you enjoy, learning what you can, and not quitting your day job.

You don't need this rating. Chess won't bring you enough money & fun, and this stake is too big, especially if you're starting your road when you're pretty old.

It's a piece of good advice. Just enjoy the game, if you can. Life is too short for chess.

If you go to a traditional chess club you will see how players rated 1900 or 2000 can win to you even not seeing the chess board, and they are easy meat for a GM. A GM don't even need to sit down on the board to win to them, and so you get a better perspective about what chess really is.

it's not difficult to remember someone who always checks these boxes:

 - homophobic insults

 - personal attacks on anyone sub 2300 based on intelligence

 - idolizes iq

 - claims anyone with a 2300 bullet rating or higher is inflated and is actually a 1500 player

 - always types "LMAO" in all caps, usually in a separate part of the sentence (i.e. after a period), always types "lol" after a comma or a period

 - talks about whining when nobody is complaining
