How many hours to reach 2000 blitz elo?

Your standard sucks if you compare it to your blitz. Well, you reached your blitz goal. Well done!

I hadn't really played chess before but I started here on chess.com and have been improving pretty quickly.  I started a couple months ago at 650 and am now almost at 1200. I have played about a thousand games but I am worried I will start to palteau against better opponents. I am willing to practice a lot and I would really love to get to 2000 some day for blitz.  Does anyone know how long this takes?

HOW DID YOU IMPROVE SO MUCH/FAST? i AM STRUGGLING TO JUST REACH 700...

Made it to 1955 but went back down to 1880 :(

Back to 1801? It seems like you have stopped playing for several months now after you played 6,000 games since you started. Your progress was impressive. Don't give up now.

Congratulations!

I made it to 2200!! This is the end of the road for me.  Progress is becoming almost impossible and I don't have the time anymore to improve my game.

You are a model of self-taught chess in adults!

Oh yeah, I remember this topic. Fun to see the OP improve a lot. Most of these don't turn out this way.

0 hours. Close your account. Then create a new one making sure you select "expert" as your level. You will start at 2000 in all catagories.

Anna cramling did a speed run and got it in 8 hours but even though she started at 900 it is pretty straightforward against 100-1000 so I'd make that 9 to 9 and a half if you know what you're doing

Well, they are talking about a new player because Anna Cramling is around 2100-2200 (blitz) so she has an edge on players below her current elo.

OP is a 2400 after 9 years. Respect
