How Many OTB Games for You to Go from 1700 to 1800? And Beyond

Question:  How many USCF tournament games did it take you to go from 1700 to 1800?  A rough but good guess at how many games it took you.

Relatedly, how many USCF tournament games did it take you to go from 1800 to 1900?  And from 1900 to 2000?

Related Context:  Let's say that I play only 20 OTB games per year.  And I only play games against players +/- 200 points of my rating of 1700.  And suppose I score 10 wins, 5 losses, and 5 draws.  How much of a rating bump would I receive roughly?

I'd like to read your thoughts and experiences.  Thanks in advance.

Just go to uschess.org and use the rating calculator.

To gain 100 rating points (outside the provisional rating), you must go ~+16 against equally rated opponents. So going +10-5=5 each year would take you about 3-4 years to go up 100 points (assuming your opponents were approximately your same rating when you played).

Thanks for the reply Zac.   If I may ask, what's your current USCF rating (assuming you're an active player)?  And subtracting 100 points from your current rating, how many games did it take you to get to where you are now?  (I'm assuming an upward trajectory of your rating climb.)
