it is NOT for me. I'm not strong enough. some of you are and its totally instructive and useful.
for someone at 1200 USCF, surely there are more important things to learn

I must stand up for bullet. It's my fave form of chess, I could play it all day long - and I never play anyone under 1800. It's a street-fight, a wide variety of sharp games in quick succession. Trust me, if you're just a woodpusher you will get smashed!

Li'l ol' woodpusher me!
in bullet if we have more time than your opponent if we do numerous blunders then also we will win . but in blitz it is not the case .thinking is required for making a move in blitz or rapid . it improves our analysing skills in chess
People like to play fast games and it needs some skill and tactics. You pick your time but if you lose more than win it's not much fun. At that point a time change is sometimes a good thing to try.
Bullet is complete trash. Takes no skill. It's whoever can push wood faster without making 1000-level blunders. 2000-level blunders? Opponent will never notice! They are pre-moving!
playing bullet is fun. but if your goal is to improve, bullet is a waste of time. if your goal is to appreciate chess' depth of strategies, tactics and calculating. bullet is a waste of time. bullet is garbage.
I play it for fun also. I quickly get over my losses, but always analyse my wins.
I think you are supposed to do it the other way around, right?
Exactly correct. Very wise. From a player who is an achiever.
Anyone who chances in here who is trying to improve their Chess will benefit.
Thanks, UtrechtRose.
It's the only time-control where people cannot cheat.

one reason to dabble in it---
even in slow tournament chess, sometimes the clock winds down and you basically ARE playing chess about as fast as you can think of legal moves.
I have Definitely Lost blitz games (especially) in the end; basically playing bullet chess. it sucks.
