The England Gambit: Zilbermints Gambit with 3. . . h6 is actually very interesting here is how the game can go:

And black may have some chances compared to his other gambits.

You are talking about Lev Zilbermintz? He is originally from Russia. According to the United  States Chess Federation, (USCF) Zilbermints lives in New Jersey and has an OTB  rating of 1991. The late  Eric Schiller, in his 2002 tome, Gambit Chess Openings, analyses many of these openings.

Lol. The surprise value of these openings will make your opponent laugh.

Laugh and underestimate. He who laughs first, laughs last.

According to the databases, the 3...Nge7 Zilbermints Gambit has been played all over the world. As with any opening, Black must know the analyses and theory. Certainly, it is better than 3...Qe7, which develops the Queen too early. With regard to other variations, if you know the theory of the opening, you will do well.

True.

Plenty of people invented openings.  Paul Morphy has variations named after him. So does Alexander Alekhine and Tigran Petrosian, Mikhail Botvinnik , Bobby Fischer, to name a few. Take any  decent chess book and check the index. There are dozens of variations named for people.

The point is to show that in chess all kinds of players introduced new variations. The Frenchman, Chatard, he introduced the Chatard Attack against the Alekhine Defense.

Chatard died long before the Internet started. Here is a French  website:

I personally know this man and have played him several times.  He is a very strong player.

Here is another gambit invented by him, which does not feature his name.  This is the Newark Gambit, a line in Mr. Zilbermintz favorite defense against 1. e4, the Philidor Counter Gambit.
