Focus on checkmate instead of material. Even though material is still good.

Not to me. Also losing streaks of 6-9 matches can happen to me a lot, I always bounce back.
I'm proud of being able to get over 500 rapid. In bullet and blitz I am in the 250-410 elo range.
But I'm not playing to reach another milestone, I'm playing for fun and adventure. Also I like experimenting with moves, I couldn't play the same in every game. I try to play creative moves sometimes even if it means I'm heavily losing. In rapid I have a positive record, in blitz I have 80 losses more than wins (425 wins).
Given the number of games that you have won and lost, does it really matter if you win or lose one more game? Does it matter that you just won or just lost?
