I'll be honest - I am crazy about the game. I find it to be a great way to relax and immerse myself in something that takes my mind off of everything else. I would of course like to be a better player, but honestly wouldn't work too hard at it - outside of playing lots of games. Then again, I have been told that playing is the best way to learn.....
How much does chess mean to you?
I lived without it for almost my whole live and just recently rediscovered it.
I think I could live on without it, but I really prefer not to be forced to do so.
I've been playing PC-games all the time, all had their flaws and very little had actually been mentally challenging.
Chess is almost flawless as a game and is the greatest game to force you think I've ever seen.
I play for fun. Once it reaches the point of onerous study, I am done :). I'm an 80/20 kind of person. In 1972, ironically enough, I stopped playing after we moved away from the playground clubhouse I used to go to. But I also stopped at the threshold of getting serious in high school and in the Air Force. Chess is fun game.

Simple question.
How serious are you about chess?
Do you want to get better. How hard would you work.
