2-3 years. That is with the computer software assisting in automating the construction of your opening tree. Without the computer, you must build your opening tree by hand. That will take you 8-10 years.
How much time does it take to reach 2200 rating ?

What is your references? Where did you get 2-3 years time period to reach 2200, do you have an example of anyone doing it ? I doubt it that anyone can reach 2200 in 2 years from an absolute begginer

as I recall MC made quick work of rising through the club rating. wiki says he went from 900 to 1900 in one single year.
it also says that 3 years later he was nearly an IM.
so leaving nonsense of a reportoire aside; it seems humanly possible to get their in 2-3 years.

Why don't you set a lower target first? This is the most logical thing to do.
Did I ask you for advice? No , please read the question first before answering thx

For most people, such as myself, I would say 2200 yrs, approx.
perhaps but alas you really only have about a 30-40 year window of try.
on the other hand, happily chess is NOT all about "quickly" becoming better than 99.9% (exaggerating) of all serious chess players.
you can perfectly happy as a mediocre chess players with hopes of tentative progress. (like me)

How much did it take Magnus Carlsen for example or other champions or just an ordinary player to reach 2200 from an absolute begginer.
I'm just curious about the time frame here 3-4 years 6 or more years ? What is the time frame , in how much time world champions did it to compare to a normal person, I'm talking about if someone talented and a quick learner , what is the shortest time hete to reach 2200?
Just use an engine, youll be there in no time.

People please stay on topic !!!!
I'm not asking about myself !!! I need to know in general also I asked about Magnus Carlsen and ordinary people I need references, examples and not a guessing games here!!!
If you are not sure, please don't answer !!!! Thank you !!!!

Nobody is sure, Starting with 5 years old with no knowledge of chess, who knows.. depends on your training and your brain, the answer to that question it is not mathematics so you should be prepared to that kind of answer when nobody knows the answer to your question.

How can nobody knows the answer? I think you are not very smart . So many world champions did already achieve rating 2200 and many other people , I'm asking about shortest time achieving the goal so we can have a rough statistics on that.

You have the entire internet to research, and find an answer to your question. Dont come down on poeple because they wont do the work for you.

It took me about seven years to get to ECF 220, which used to be around 2250 back in the '70s. I think with the re-evaluations which have happened in the interim that it would equate with closer to 2350 these days.

Did you find it necessary to build an opening tree by hand for your opening repertoire?

Books. I remember that I always had a large pile of library books on all aspects of the game. I used to play the King's Gambit and the Dragon Sicilian and some manner of Modern Defence against anything else. I used to get the occasional Schachmatny Bulletin and my other reference was the Encyclopaedia of Chess Openings (ECO).
At Uni, I met several very gifted players who had reached that level in less time than I had but for a basically normal player but with good innate talent, you're looking at 5+ years. Most people will never get there.
I never had a coach nor went to training camp but I knew a few who had. I took extra pleasure in beating them.
