I'd consider a reasonable fee for ongoing personal coaching.
How much would you pay to play Carlsen in a simul?

I doubt I'd be interested in paying more than $50 to just play him. But I'd pay up to $500 if the set up was right; something like a 2-hour lecture on a topic of interest, simul, and then him analyzing a couple of his favorite games from the simul along with dinner and drinks.

NM Roy Hoppe, related a story to me. A young man walks into a chess club and asks for a game, he tells the doorman that he wants a game, he needs some money to see a movie. The doorman calls across the room for a game and the "pit boss" says, no way kid. The doorman, had, immediately recognized who the young man was. The young man left in somewhat of a huff. The doorman then explained, that was Bobby Fischer. The pit boss almost fell on the floor, exclaiming, "I would have paid $100 just to sit across from him." So, Carlsen, is definitely worth a Benny.

Let me just put this idea in: playing in a simul won't be the same thing as playing 1on1. His play would reflect that there are other like 20 boards he's playing at, so for example he would choose lines that have less variations. Or he could concentrate his efforts in getting other players out of the way asap so his play against you would be more of waiting style, etc.

I don't think I would pay to play against Carlsen since the only think interesting about Carlsen is his high rating.
but FM, GMs and WGMs from chess.com videos such as Roman and Valeri Lilov and from the forum including Natalia I might pay if I get a signed chessboard afterwards.
however I don't know how much I would pay.

I agree with you about his personality (if that's what you mean). He seems aloof...not personable at all.

It's what I meant.
"knowing" titled players from chess.com have made them personable and interesting.
Carlsen $100 usd
Natalia $100 usd + dinner and a movie :)
Something tells me WGM Maria Monakova is your favorite chess player.
haha i didnt know who she was, i just googled her

Playing Carlsen is not about playing chess... It's about touching the greatness... It's basically a religious experience. Thus, it is priceless...
Maybe 50 cents...
